Finally get to play!!!!

My neck is healed (well almost).  Thank you to my friend Sharon Smith at Fore Fitness and Rehabilitation.  She gave me great advice to treat my neck.  I also continued treatment from the athletic trainers at the Futures Tour event in Decatur, IL.  They helped tremendously. 

Needless to say I was able to play the Futures event nearly pain free.  I finished T13th.  I was happy with that after having to withdraw from the two previous events. 

It was nice to play in Decatur because I had won there two times in the past.  I always seem to play good golf close to home.  We need a tour event in Chicago again.  Never missed a cut in Chicago!!! 

PSA Award

Remember the public service announcement I was involved in for Narcolepsy?! Well, it won a Bronze Telly Award in the Health and Wellness broadcast category. The 28th Telly Awards is a prestigious competition, with over 13,000 entries submitted from around the world. It is designed by the same company that makes the Oscar and Emmy award statuettes. Maybe now we will start seeing it on TV.

I was pumping gas in Chicago while I had to go to the bathroom soooo bad. I was dancing around, trying to hold it, took one look at the gas price as I was pumping ($3.75/gal) and WHAMO, there goes my neck. It was bound to happen soon or later. My trap muscles are hard as a rock and need constant attention. Needless to say, I had to withdraw from the Futures Event in Lake Geneva. Lets hope Ill be better by next week for the Hammond, IN Futures event and US Open Qualifying. Thanks to Kevin and Doc over at Health Source in Westmont, IL my neck in improving daily.
